You are not alone! “Keeping secrets is deadly for families,” says Karen Weil, a Clinical Hypnotherapist and Eating Disorders Specialist who has lost 240 pounds, in part by facing her own difficult past. “And yet,” adds Certified Life Coach Kira Wagner, “it can feel impossible to share the truth.”

If you’re frustrated because you can’t communicate or find yourself isolating, or you’re stuck in a relationship that gives back more pain than joy, Karen and Kira team up to offer help and hope. Experienced speakers as well as performers, with decades of experience in child development, coaching, hypnotherapy and spiritual development, their fun presentations frequently include songs and music as they offer new skills to get you through even the darkest relationship times. “No subject is unspeakable,” says this duo, whose inspiring, interactive talks will help you finally express what you feel, and bring peace to years of pain and frustration. “Just getting things out in the open can make a miraculous difference in family happiness,” they point out.

Your Life Is Weighting

Who better to tell how to lose weight, keep it off and build a more beautiful life than someone who has done exactly that? Karen Weil’s story of how she lost 240 pounds and has kept them off—for 32 years!—is sure to inspire you. In this interactive talk, Karen and Kira go straight to the heart of how to get off the food and weight merry-go-round once and for all through extreme self-acceptance and radical self-love. Presentations are customized to address audience members’ challenges. Through gracious humor and heartfelt empathy, Karen and Kira team up to bring instant hope and show ways you can implement change starting today. You’ll learn relaxation techniques, and receive tips on healthy life style such as understanding your own personal nutritional needs, nutritional myths to watch out for, and how too much of a “good” thing can be bad for you. What’s more, they’ll shine the light on negative self-talk, and help you take the next step toward the very best you can be.

No More Secrets: Let the Real You Speak!

Whether it’s fear of telling about sexual abuse, revealing sexual orientation, or simply stating a dream (“My child wants to be an artist and I want her to be a doctor”), you may feel frustrated and stuck as the days slide by, wishing and hoping for a better tomorrow. This gentle, compassionate talk lifts you out of overwhelm and gives you active ways to speed your way out of life-sapping frustration. Using story writing, role playing and mirror work, Karen and Kira team up to help you discover the inner and outer obstacles to sharing who you are and what you need.

Overcome Trauma and PTSD, Build Better Relationships

Abuse, loss, bitter arguments and even witnessing disturbing news all create trauma in our daily lives. Often, these traumas result in unresolved hurts that can burst through at home, at work, when driving, even when dealing with customer service! Untended, these chunks of the past overshadow the present, and can damage or even rupture relationships. In this highly interactive talk, Kira Wagner and Karen Weil, themselves both trauma survivors, explain how you can take control of these hard-to-tame emotions. In resilience-building exercises, they’ll help you identify specific things that you love to do, and work out ways to bring more of these nurturing things into your everyday life. You’ll identify areas where you are strong, and learn ways like mindfulness meditation to increase this power-core and go to it to keep yourself calm. They’ll also give guidance on how to live with someone grappling with trauma-related issues like isolating, addiction, and out-of-control temper. You’ll learn that trying to manage someone else’s life only sets you up for disappointment and pain, and that the only one you can change is yourself.

While Kira and Karen encourage audience participation in this talk, no one is ever pressured to join in. You’ll leaves this heartfelt, deeply moving presentation with a broader understanding of trauma recovery, and knowing how to make micro changes to bring more comfort and a deeper sense of safety into your relationships and your life.

Meet Kira and Karen…

Kira and Karen have decades of experience treating PTSD, abuse, eating disorders and stress in schools with both groups and individuals. Both are experienced speakers as well as performers whose presentations frequently include songs and music to bring their messages home in a fun, gentle way. Based on professional training and their own personal experience overcoming secret-keeping, abuse, and self-esteem issues, Karen and Kira have a passion to help children and families understand their relationships with each other and their personal importance in the community.

Karen started a private preschool at age 18 and has been in the field of Early Childhood Education for over 40 years. She has struggled with eating disorders since she was a small child, and has gone through all the cycles of anorexia, bulimia, and obesity. At her top weight of 398 pounds she became a Clinical Hypnotherapist to help herself and others like her and has maintained a 240-pound weight loss for 32 years.

Kira holds a PhD in Metaphysical Humanistic Science specializing in Holistic Life Coaching and is a Reiki Master. She firmly believes that our only limits are what we put on ourselves and so went into the Marines (even though she hated PE class!). As a civilian, she became frustrated with Band-Aid solutions to life’s problems and created a coaching method that takes religion, spirituality, and counseling to the next level, helping people look for the good in themselves and one another.
