Meet LaShawn Myers…

LaShawn Myers, MSW, has been providing social work service for more than 17 years through teaching, consulting, and program development. The author of A Time to Heal: Disposing of Closet Hurts, she received her Master’s Degree in Social Work specializing in cognitive-behavioral therapy from Wayne State University in 2002. She is a licensed social worker with the State of Michigan.

LaShawn is the CEO and coordinator of Time to Heal Ministries, Inc., a non-denominational, faith-based initiative created in 2008 to promote inner emotional healing and personal development through workshops, literature, “Closet Hurt” consultations, and referrals. She’s also the founder of Great Futures Maternal Infant Health Program (MIHP), LLC. The mission of Great Futures MIHP is to reduce infant mortality among poverty level families by providing support to low-income pregnant women and infants.
