You’ll leave his forward-thinking talk knowing how to orchestrate a sales process where both parties’ needs are fully addressed and completely satisfied.
Michael Levin’s entrepreneurism started with the proverbial newspaper route. By the time he was 18, he had launched a teenage discotheque in Livermore, CA. He has since launched several multimillion dollar companies in the areas of product, service and software. Currently he’s President and CEO of Custom Solutions, Inc.
His patented products have been endorsed by O: The Oprah Magazine and he has presented them on the Home Shopping Network. He has appeared on numerous TV and radio shows around the country and has been featured in Entrepreneur Magazine.
But roughly ten years ago, his success nearly crashed to a halt. “I was pushing extremely hard,” he says. “I never slowed down.” The result was several stress-related illnesses. His fight back from this wake-up call is told in his new book, Let Them See You Sweat: Lessons I’ve Learned on My Personal Journey with Stress, available at Barnes and Noble.com and Amazon.com, where it is a number one bestseller in three categories. His previous books include Sitting on the Same Side of the Table: The Art of Collaborative Selling.” He is also a co-author of The Road to Success with Jack Canfield of the Chicken Soup for the Soul series.
Michael’s primary passion is helping people. “That can come from helping my employees grow and helping companies and their teams work more effectively,” he says. “To create life balance and help others, I volunteered for over ten years on the Contra Costa Crisis Hotline.” Often, people who learn Michael Levin’s collaboration and stress-reduction techniques tell him later that they’ve had big changes in their personal relationships as well. “A client used the collaboration process I taught with his wife and stepdaughter,” Michael says. “He later contacted me to let me know that the three family members had had the most productive conversation ever.”
“In Let Them See You Sweat Michael provides a unique view into the incredible impact that stress can have on our lives. His stories and the lessons he’s learned provide valuable insights that will provide help both to you or someone you love.”

You may think, with this book’s title, it’s about being calm and cool in the face of pressure. It’s actually quite the opposite and more literal. My body actually stopped sweating. This was one of a variety of unusual health issues I faced, partially or wholly brought on by stress. And I had to learn how to get my body to sweat again naturally as no pill or prescription was going to help me. My solution to this and other issues were going to come from within.
With people becoming more aware about stress and its incredible health impacts, many of us have found that we can pay a hefty price if we ignore or don’t acknowledge it. And I believe it frequently goes undiagnosed in the medical community. This book is about my journey, one I think many of you can relate to. This is not about what I’ve overcome. It’s about what I’ve learned in the hope it can help others. In this book I will share you with my journey and the key lessons I’ve learned along the way.
Could you or your team benefit from a progressive, high impact, proven sales methodology to close more profitable business? Michael’s selling philosophy of Sitting on the Same Side of the Table as Your CustomerTM, takes you away from hard core negotiating to sitting side by side with your customer, working out solutions good for both of you. His Art of Collaborative Selling facilitates highly productive conversations between you and your customers. This is a process that works for the most sophisticated sales executive, to the novice salesperson, to someone who hates selling. Michael has used his process to get great results for his clients and for his personal multi-million dollar ventures as well.
To take a road trip to Success, we will need a destination as well as a GPS. Success is described here as the achievement of a goal. The goals we adopt may be the result of experience, vision or desire. They crystallize our desire to get to a better place.
Having picked a goal for success, how do you get there? What drives you on? Some more popular goals include amassing wealth, gaining recognition and a desire to improve the lifestyle of others. It is also interesting to note that both philosophers as well as successful travellers on this road to success tell us that the journey is the real prize, not merely arriving at the destination.
So what route does your roadmap follow? Whatever route you choose, the CelebrityExperts(R) in this book can mentor your trip. They have completed this trip before, and they know where the potholes and the dead-ends are. These successful people have traits in common including creativity, risk taking, planning, perseverance and they are action-takers. Without taking action, The Road To Success is merely a mirage. So read, learn and enjoy. Safe travels!
