Business Growth Expert helps audiences generate more leads and sales, and grow their businesses profitably and sustainably.

Ruth van Vierzen brings 20 years of experience in business development to the stage with dynamic, interactive presentations. She has earned a reputation for delivering in-demand topics that generate strong registration numbers and positive evaluations for event organizers.

In 2017, Ruth is launching her REVSquared Courses division, which provides online training in business and career development. Through REVSquared Courses, she can provide off-the-shelf and customized live remote trainings for organizations, in addition to her on-stage presentations.

Benefit from Ruth’s Unique High-Engagement Approach

  • Ruth’s presentations always have an audience engagement focus.  Whether it’s a keynote talk or training workshop, audiences will do exercises to increase participation and absorption of content.
  • Ruth’s popular “hot seat” exercises put participants in the spotlight. Depending on the topic, this may involve an audience member seeking feedback from Ruth and the audience on a business challenge; making a short presentation based on an exercise Ruth has given; or going out of their comfort zone as they put one of Ruth’s teachings into practice in front of the audience.
  • For marketing-based topics, audiences will complete marketing work during the presentation so they leave with much of the creative and thought-process details finished.(A big time-saver for busy entrepreneurs!)
  • Ruth’s optional pre-arranged case studies are a big hit at events. They generate early buzz before the presentation because registrants can submit their names to be selected for a case study. Those selected get valuable exposure and feedback.
  • Optional pre-event survey to a cross-section of leaders and attendees to conduct a brief needs assessment. This helps ensure that the presentation is on target with needs and expectations.
  • Optional debrief after the event. Ruth frequently chats with attendees after her talks, gaining valuable insight into audience feedback for your future events.

Ruth’s Memorable Speaker Moments

“I was hired to develop a business training program and deliver the first workshop as part of a pilot program for Corrections Canada’s Education department. Presenting in a prison was a new experience for me. At the lunch break, I was advised to expect few, if any, of the registrants to return to the workshop: participation was voluntary and return rates were historically low at workshops in the prison. I was so pleased when all of the registrants returned to the workshop after lunch!”

“I was delivering a highly-interactive LinkedIn training workshop and had employed my trademark case-study approach. Audience participation was wonderful and the energy and idea sharing in the room was contagious. The event organizer later told me that she had never seen their members so engaged in a workshop, nor had she ever received so many positive evaluations from an event.”

What people are saying…

We originally hired Ruth to speak on a sales panel at our annual event. After hearing her speak, we engaged her to teach workshops on social media. We had consistently positive feedback as she provided practical, actionable training in an interactive format.”

Meet Ruth van Vierzen…

Ruth van Vierzen has pursued entrepreneurial opportunities since she was a teenager. Growing up in a rural environment meant few jobs for summer students, but she connected with a local organization and quickly found herself busy doing odd jobs for seniors. She was a freelancer before the term became mainstream!

Ruth is passionate about entrepreneurship and it continues to be a theme in her life. Her career experience spans both the private and public sectors in addition to the challenge of running her own thriving businesses.

“I’m Toastmasters trained and understand the key factors that go into making a seminar or workshop a memorable experience for participants,” Ruth says. “When I speak, my focus is always on providing practical, relevant content they can immediately apply to their businesses. Having delivered numerous talks to various business organizations, I’m comfortable in front of audiences large and small.”

Ruth’s presentations are always customized for your group. “Whether you need someone to deliver an hour-long seminar on a marketing topic, facilitate a roundtable discussion, or teach a one-day workshop, I can meet your needs,” she says.
